SUNDAY SCHOOL & MIDWEEK FINALE DATES

As our spring classes are coming to an end, please note the following dates: The last night of Midweek evenings (dinner + classes) will be Wednesday, May 23^rd. Our ’06-’07 children’s Sunday School classes (for age 3 thru 6^th grade) will wrap up on Sunday, May 20^th. There will be NO SS for any age on Sunday, May 27^th (Memorial Day and Confirmation). Summer Sunday School for children (combo classes) will kick off on Sunday, June 3^rd (and go through Aug. 19)

SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL – VOLUNTEER TEACHERS NEEDED

Summer Sunday School will go from June 3^rd – August 19^th this year. We will have THREE combo classes: Age 3 – entering Kindergarten, entering 1^st - 3^rd grade, and entering 4^th – 5^th grade. Will you be around this summer? Would you consider a shorter teaching commitment (12 wks)? See Heidi if you can lead one of these combo classes for the summer… Otherwise, we need energetic adults who love children to volunteer their time to co-lead (you’ll work as partners) one of these classes for ONE Sunday in the summer. Yes, if we all do our part, it’s just a one Sunday commitment! We’ll help you with preparations and all. This means that we will need the commitment of SIX adults per Sunday to make this happen. Please pray about serving in this way, pick a Sunday and look for a sign up on the narthex wall – thank you!

Sunday Morning (September - May)

Every Sunday our education hour offers excellent opportunities for young people ages three through High School to study and learn with fellow members of the Body of Christ!

9:45am - 10:30am

Ages 3 - 6^th grade (broken into classes of two grades) follow Our Life in Christ curriculum from Concordia Publishing House. This three year cycle takes children through God’s Gospel promises in the Bible. These children start each Sunday in the sanctuary for Sunday School Openings where they share in a Bible reading, sing-along music, offering, birthday and attendance honors, and prayer.
Our 7^th and 8^th grade class will explore what God’s Word has to say about various life issues through Concordia Publishing House’s Bible Impact study.
Our High School youth explore various life issues through discussion and study of the Word.

Wednesday Evening

Join us for a meal and fellowship with the Grace Lutheran Church family followed by more learning and spiritual growth opportunities for 1^st graders through High School. Other opportunities are listed on the Youth pages of this web site.

Our 1^st - 6^th grade classes (broken down into classes of two grades) share in Faith Weaver hands-on lessons and fun.
Pastor Rick, and our DCE rotate leadership of our 7^th and 8^th grade Discipleship class which seeks to help youth understand and rejoice in their lives as Christians in this world.
Senior High youth (9th-12th grade) meet for fellowship and devotion, led by various leaders (DCE Heidi, Dan Beckwith, Pastor Rick).

Note: A staffed nursery is available for young children of adults attending Bible Study during the education hour on both Sunday and Wednesday.
