Greetings in the name our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! My name is Rod Jackson, and I am
the principal of Grace Lutheran School.
I was born in Indiana, and spent my early years in the Midwest. My family moved to Louisiana
when I entered high school, and I graduated from Baton Rouge High School in 1983. I came to
Florida to go to college, and I received both a Bachelors and a Masters Degree from the
University of Florida (Go Gators!)
After college I spent eight years as a teacher in the public schools in Gainesville and St.
Augustine, primarily in the International Baccalaureate program. After leaving the public
schools I spent six years in technology education in the private sector.
I am married to a lovely woman, Karen. We have a daughter named Rachel, as well as a cat
and a dog. Our dog is named Gracie, after Grace Lutheran School where we found her as a stray.
I feel very blessed to be a part of the Grace Lutheran School family. I believe this school
is a wonderful place where children can fulfill all of their intellectual potential, and learn
through Christian teaching to be morally strong servants of God.
I have many goals and dreams for the future of Grace Lutheran School, but my most important
goal is to always keep Jesus Christ and His will first in all things that I do. I consider
myself a servant principal: a servant to my Lord, to my staff, to the parents, and to the
children of Grace. I look forward to speaking with you soon about Grace Lutheran School.
